Alexander Cody Nguyen (b. 1996 Irvine, CA) is a LA based director and photographer working across many genres and mediums to explore and counter the Western gaze on Asian beauty and place in America -- one that is fetishized, held as a model minority, and expected to be subservient -- challenging these stereotypes by providing an alternative lens that intimately reclaims and redefines the independent and boundless beauty and artistry of our Asian American community.

Having just started photography in 2019 and directing in 2021, Alexander has already begun working with select brands such as Nike, Burberry, Adidas, Rayban, Meta, Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger, Oakley, Salomon, Anthropologie, Billionaire Boys Club, Zadig & Voltaire, Sam’s Club, Quiksilver, Apple Music, The Webster, Topicals, and Article One.

In addition, he has also worked with the following select established editorials: i-D, W Mag, Dazed, GQ, CR Fashion Book, V Mag, the New York Times, and artists such as Kevin Hart, Phoebe Bridgers, J. Balvin, Alicia Keys, KeKe Palmer, Bad Bunny, Madelyn Cline, Japanese Breakfast and Alessandro Nivola.
