Alexander Cody Nguyen (b. 1996, Irvine, CA) is a Los Angeles–based director and photographer working across film and photography.
Born to Vietnamese refugee parents, his perspective is shaped by dualities—heritage and futurism, intimacy and scale, subculture and mass appeal. His work explores identity, beauty, and the Asian American experience through emotionally precise, culturally attuned visuals.
Alexander crafts imagery that captures human connection—through both the immediacy of raw emotion and the quiet depth of intimate moments. His work balances visual sensitivity with narrative clarity, resulting in films and photos that feel both personal and expansive.
